Formed in 2001, Godfrey Pest Management Ltd has grown to meet the ever-increasing demands of maintaining our iconic New Zealand landscapes, flora and fauna. We now work all over the South Island. We are passionate about the personal well-being, care and training of our team. We train all our field staff to NZQA National Certificate level in pest management and engage in ongoing personal development.
Godfrey Pest Management Ltd is committed to conservation and biodiversity. We are actively involved in protecting species, habitats and primary production. Our wilding pine operations help to maintain the biological integrity of the landscape by removing pest trees which alter ecosystems and affect water yields. Director, Wayne Godfrey has worked on almost every wilding tree control site in the South Island and is well known and respected in the pest management industry around conservation and biosecurity.
We protect endangered species and primary production through our animal pest management activities. We are involved in residual trap catch index (RTCI) trapping and WaxTag(R) possum population monitoring, primarily for bovine TB eradication. We also conduct tracking tunnel rodent and mustelid (ferret and stoat) monitoring as well as conducting mustelid control to protect vulnerable species at risk from predation.
We have extensive experience in wetland restoration and conducting woody weed control in these very sensitive environments. Our programs in braided river systems help to maintain a balance through weed management for flood mitigation and we are dedicated to ensuring river berms are contain a balance of biodiversity. We endeavour to enhance and maintain these systems.
Many of our team are qualified Growsafe Registered Chemical Applicators.
